Bánh Lee

Founded by myself and two friends, Bánh Lee is a bakery in Saigon, Vietnam.

While the city is overwhelmed with incredible food, actually good bread is hard to find outside of fancy restaurants and gourmet grocery stores. Inspired by Lee's lockdown passion project - learning all things focaccia - our company aimed to offer everyone access to awesome bread without breaking the bank.

Our design strategy emphasized a contrast to the 'snooty' bread market in Vietnam, so we focused on creating a friendly and approachable brand; we wanted to make it clear that we don't take ourselves too seriously. The graphics incorporated handwritten text, simple line drawings, and delicious photos of bread, of course!
